Who Invented The Computer

I don't know precisely who invented the computer, but I do have a few theories. I bet a lot of people would suggest that the computer was invented some time in the 20th century. After all, that's the period during which most of our greatest technological achievements were made. Modern society is so immersed in computer technology that it almost seems like we've had computers forever. Many children may think so. But it is not the case.

Who Did Invent The Computer?

Some may theorize that computers were invented in the 1800's. Wouldn't that be neat? It would seem that our ancestors were much more advanced than we thought. But what if computers were invented before then? How about centuries earlier. That is mind blowing. But I do think I heard or read somewhere that there have been early computer models found, made of stone components, with moving parts! Was it the Mayan culture that came up with their designs? I think it may have had something to do with calendars and charting the passage of time.

So, my theory as to who invented the computer is that it was invented hundreds of years ago by ancient cultures. But if that is possible, who can say whether or not computers had been around even earlier? If there really is some kind of lost Atlantean civilization, maybe they had already invented computers, and even more advanced technology that we have no concept of... yet!
